The County of Grande Prairie has a new draft Community Standards Bylaw aimed at setting standards that will support the overall health, safety and viability of communities across the County.
From March 4 to March 24, 2019, the public was encouraged to provide their thoughts on the draft version of the bylaw to determine if any modifications were needed, what should be considered in evaluating this new bylaw, and how soon the bylaw should be reviewed after it is put in place. Feedback was collected through a survey and in person at the Peace Country Classic Agri-Show.
All feedback received to-date was considered when finalizing the Bylaw. The Community Standards Bylaw was approved by County Council on May 14, 2019, and is effective immediately.
