The Landscape Recognition Program Winners Have Been Announced

The Landscape Recognition Program is now closed!

Thank you to all participants and businesses involved.

Congratulations to Valard Foundations for winning the 2019 Landscape Recognition Award, and congratulations to Horizon North for winning the People's Choice award.


Feeling like you missed out this year? Don't worry! We'll be back again next year! Stay tuned to the County of Grande Prairie Facebook page to stay up to date on all news and events! Don't forget to begin preparing for next years Landscape Recognition Program.

The winning businesses will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • use of landscaping design principles from the County's Land Use Bylaw;
  • Displays effective year round maintenance;
  • Displays effective use of trees, shrubs, and/or perennial planting;
  • Makes use of native vegetation;
  • Must be an industrial or commercial business within the County.

Businesses must be nominated to participate, self-nomination is encouraged.

2020 Landscape Recognition Program Window Decals will be given out to all businesses nominated!

The contest winner will receive amazing prizes, and all participants will benefit from free advertising and promotion.

    In addition to the Landscape Recognition Program Award, we will now be hosting a People's Choice Award!

    People will have the opportunity to vote for the best landscaped business nominated. Voting will be available here August 16th - 23rd.

    The People's Choice Award will be presented by Nine Energy, our 2018 Landscape Recognition Program Award winner at a future Council meeting.
