Key Dates

The County of Grande Prairie is in the processes of preparing an Area Structure Plan that will provide a framework that will guide long term planning and future development of the NE Clairmont area. The County is providing an in-person engagement session for any persons wanting to learn more about the project and share feedback to help shape the vision for the area.

Who: Plan Area Landowners, County Ratepayers and any interested persons.

When: Tuesday, November 3, 6:30pm to 7:15 pm or 7:30pm to 8:15 pm 

Where: County of Grande Prairie – Council Chambers

*Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendees will need to register in advance to secure a spot to participate in-person. Capacity will be limited to 20 persons per session, and physical distancing measures and all necessary health and safety protocols will be in place. Upon registration, you will have the option to select which timeslot you prefer (6:30 or 7:30pm)

Following the Virtual Information Session taking place on October 8, 2020, a survey will be posted to this page to collect additional feedback from area residents and the public. This survey has been extended until Nov. 17th to allow for feedback after the Nov.3rd in person information session.

You are invited to register for a virtual information session about the Northeast Clairmont Area Structure Plan on Thursday, October 8 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The session includes a presentation, a summary of feedback from area landowners and technical experts, followed by an online question and answer session. A draft Area Structure Plan has been prepared and is being circulated for review for Winter 2022.

Public Open House 

Based on previous engagement with area landowners and a detailed technical analysis, the draft ASP was developed. Area landowners are invited to attend a public open house (come-and-go format – no RSVP required) to review and provide feedback on the draft ASP before it is presented to County Council. Project team members will be available at the open house to answer any questions you may have.

There will be a hearing for the NE Clairmont Area Structure Plan on May 30th, 2022.
